I would like to welcome you to the First Congregational Church of North Berwick.

I have been part of this church since March 2007. Prior to coming to First Congregational Church, I served as Executive Director of the Bible Society of Maine. Before that I pastored churches in Massachusetts, Washington state, and Michigan.

Diana & I live in Portland; we have been married for 32+ years. We are "empty nesters" -- we have three grown daughters -- though we share our home with a timid cat and an energetic Labradoodle. I enjoy sports -- especially baseball -- reading, and working on projects around the house and yard.

My goal as a pastor is to help every person to grow spiritually, living as a disciple of Jesus Christ. I believe that such development comes through the practices of regular Bible reading, prayer, spiritual disciplines, Christian fellowship, and compassionate service. I am an avid student of the Bible, of history, and of contemporary culture, and seek to share what I learn with others.
